Long-time Clayton resident Ted Meriam filed papers at City Hall this afternoon, marking a formal interest in running for City Council in November’s election. Ted will be running for two open seats, currently filled by incumbents Hank Stratford and David Shuey, whose terms expire this year.
Ted is a familiar face around City Hall, as he currently is a Clayton Planning Commissioner, where he is helping chart the future vision of the town. Also, as the President of the Clayton Historical Society, he understands, promotes, and honors the past. Ultimately, he envisions a vibrant city that honors Clayton's history, while also meeting the needs of current and future citizens.
After being away for college and to launch his career at Microsoft, Ted returned to Clayton to start his own family, with strong desire to give back to a community that has provided so much to him over the years. With strong leadership throughout the Clayton community, Ted will continue this positive trend.
