The Contra Costa County Board of Education on Wednesday unanimously approved a petition to renew Clayton Valley Charter High School’s charter through June 19, 2019.
The board’s approval was based on a staff recommendation that found the school met all state requirements to continue operating under the supervision of the County Office of Education, including a sound educational program, balanced budget, and realistic financial and operation plan.
Trustees also discussed legal requirements for countywide charters in preparation for a future public hearing regarding a proposed countywide performing arts charter.
